The Compliance Challenge

Every community bank is faced with a bewildering array of ever-changing regulations. While all banks strive to be in compliance, the regulatory requirements can seem overwhelming. The problem is getting the right information at the right time and finding a cost-effective approach to do so.

Practical Solution

The Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers is offering a course entitled Compliance for Deposit Operations. Due to the current health crisis in the United States, we are offering this information in a virtual seminar format – which of course means no drive to Harrisburg.

This course will provide up-to-date information on compliance issues and developments in deposit regulations, as well as proven techniques for maintaining your in-bank compliance program.

In the current environment, there is a need for a course for bankers of all experience levels to understand the regulations. This comprehensive compliance program will discuss the major regulations impacting deposit operations that impact the front line and your day to day operations.

Compliance officers, internal auditors, compliance back-up personnel, front line personnel and other bank employees who want to be comfortable with the deposit compliance regulations should attend this informative program.


It is difficult to attend a full day program while physically being in the bank. For many bankers, a closed door does not limit disruptions. Therefore, the presentation is offered in two morning sessions, allowing you the balance of each day to accomplish other tasks for your bank. And the sessions will be recorded and available for 90 days after the presentation, should you be unavailable during all or part of either day.

The program is designed to assist the attendees in getting timely answers to their questions. We encourage bankers to be active participants by bringing questions and concerns. Questions can be submitted prior to the program or raised during the presentation.  The software will allow students to raise their hand, have their microphone/telephone line activated, and ask questions and/or offer insight regarding the material. This two-way flow of information increases understanding and improves the bank’s effort toward a viable compliance program.

All that is needed for you to connect to the presentation is a computer with speakers. If your computer does not have a microphone built in and/or does not have speakers, you can also connect via a telephone line to hear the audio while watching your computer for the video. The presenter will be visible on the screen, along with the slides.

NOTE: Instructions for hookup to each day of the webinar will be sent to you approximately 5-7 days prior to first day of the webinar.

The manuals, which are very complete and detailed, and the slides decks, will be sent to you electronically a few days prior to the presentation. We recommend printing the manuals or otherwise having access to them during the presentation. All attendees will receive the very simple login instructions prior to the presentation.
