11:15am: Building Your Branch Transformation Plan: Aligning the People and Physical Components for Success
Speaker: Kevin Blair, President/CEO, NewGround

In this session we will discuss branch transformation and the future of the branch. It’s no longer as simple as it used to be: the center for transactions. Financial institutions are viewing their branches, now, as consultation centers, flagships for their brand and as a way to demonstrate their commitment to the communities they serve. Gone are the days of a cookie-cutter branch that looks like everyone else’s. Today, as in most every industry, the emphasis for financial institutions is on differentiation. The branch has become more than a building; it’s a physical manifestation of the brand. We will talk about how to align your people and the physical components of your branch to serve as a relationship-building center.

12:15pm: Luncheon

1:00pm: Leveraging Mobile & Social Technology to Acquire New Retail Markets
Speaker: Jeff Dayton, iBanking Product Analyst, Advanced Banking Group, COCC

This session will be an examination of the tools required to efficiently grow the digital channel, a look into how you can learn from your own experiences and the experiences of your colleagues.

2:10pm: Comparing Branch Performance – Highlights from 2016 Branch Benchmarking Study
Speaker: Timothy Reimink, Managing Director, Crowe Horwath LLP

Understanding how well your branches are performing compared to peers is key to setting expectations and making decisions to optimize your branches. In this session Mr. Reimink will share observations and results from a 2016 Branch Benchmarking Study. Benchmarks for sales productivity, product balances, costs and operating practices will be discussed. Topics will include:

  • The relative performance of branches with universal bankers
  • The relative performance of rural versus urban branches
  • Leading operating practices
