Re: Support for S. 2062, Class Action Reform Legislation

Dear Senator Santorum:

I am writing on behalf of the many Pennsylvania community banks that support legal reform legislation and, specifically, S. 2062, the "Class Action Fairness Act of 2004."

This is an important piece of bi-partisan legislation. Community bankers are the frequent targets of an aggressive plaintiffs’ bar, and this legislation represents an important reform step to help fight the economically damaging impact of such abusive lawsuits.

It is our understanding that Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist intends to bring S. 2062 to the Senate floor after the Senate returns from its Memorial Day Recess. As a member of Senate leadership, we urge your support for its passage.
