I am writing to bring to your attention legislation that ICBA and PACB developed that would give qualified community banks deep regulatory relief and tax credits.

We are pushing this legislation as a positive and meaningful way to create equity between the mega credit unions and community banks that are reeling from unfair competition.

Our sincere hope is that you will cosponsor this legislation as we work to build support for these concepts. I am faxing you a copy of the draft legislation but stress that it may change when Mr. Ryun circulates it for cosponsorship.
