Community Banker Alert

To: All PACB Members

From: Frank A. Pinto, President/CEO

Subject: Election Results

Date: November 8, 2006

The results across the Commonwealth and across this nation were dramatic and change the political landscape in untold ways. As community bankers, our challenge now with 51 new members of the state House, 5 new members of the state Senate, and at least 4 new members of our Congressional Delegation, is to forge strong and new relationships. We pledge to do our very best to develop these relationships and need your help. Either you have relationships with the new officeholders as pillars in your community or you will be developing them.

One member who called to chat about the results today indicated that once the dust settles, he will be scheduling a small breakfast with his new legislator including several of his interested colleagues and PACB for the sole purpose of opening the door.

I have attached the latest results available from Pennsylvanians for Effective Government highlighting the results and a link that you can use to get the latest news. Contact us if you have questions or need help in sorting out what happened yesterday.

Finally, for our fellow citizens who believe one vote doesn’t matter, the entire control of the state House now hinges on a 19 vote victory the Republican candidate achieved in the 156th Legislative District. Expect recounts and scrutiny of absentee ballots. Once the dust does settle, PACB will be working on your behalf and with you to advance the community banking agenda.
