With your key help and contacts, we have so far managed to defeat attempts by the Farm Credit System (FCS) to vastly expand their lending capability at the expense of community banking. Most recently, the Senate Agriculture Committee marked up a farm reauthorization bill without the power grab by the FCS.
The FCS has a vast array of lobbyists working on this issue and senators are being continually contacted by these lobbyists and the farm lobby network. Now more than ever, we need you to contact Senators Casey & Specter and urge them to oppose the farm credit system’s Horizons proposal.
The farm bill could be on the Senate floor as early as Tuesday, October 30 so your contacts are needed ASAP.
