Brentwood Bank recently contributed to NeighborWorks (a non-profit organization with the mission of financial empowerment that promotes homeownership and stable communities in Western Pennsylvania).

NeighborWorks offers free counseling, homebuyer education and financial literacy courses designed to help individuals and families achieve their dreams.
The Bank’s contribution will assist as many as 8,000-10,000 Bhutanese and Nepalese immigrants living in the South Hills. Many of who are preyed upon by high cost finance companies who they’re going to for home purchase loans. NeighborWorks and the Economic Development South organization want to provide education ranging from saving for home purchase/building credit, the home purchase process (find a realtor/find a home), moving into the home, post-purchase counseling (budgeting etc.). SHIM will also be a partner in this initiative.
