This is the bank’s fourteenth location and first in Montour County. Located at the intersection of Walnut and Railroad Streets, the new full service bank also has a convenient drive-thru and ATM. The Danville banking team will be led by Danville native Kara Aurand. In addition, the Danville branch will be home to Mortgage Lender, Brooke Pennington and Commercial Lender, Hannah Sick. Lance Diehl, President & CEO of First Columbia, shared, “We are excited to come to Danville as a local community bank. Just as we have done in many of the surrounding communities, we look forward to helping individuals, families, businesses, schools and community organizations achieve their financial goals.”
The new structure is in keeping with the traditional architecture of the bank’s newer branches in Catawissa and Berwick, complete with a signature clock tower feature. Jeff Whitenight, Senior Vice President of Branch and Loan Administration, added, “We feel this design nicely complements the historic buildings that have been preserved and restored throughout the town.” To honor the town’s history, the bank also commissioned a mural that depicts notable and historical sites throughout the community. Local artist Abigail Kurecian, in collaboration with Danville historians, created the piece, which is on display in the lobby of the new bank.
