2015 GROW Your Community Awards Program

Did you know that April is Community Banking Month? Community Banking Month is a time where we celebrate community banks and their dedication to the areas they serve. Community banks are relationship lenders that thrive when their customers and communities do the same. Taking care of customers and looking out for the best interest of local communities is the community banking business model.

Think you can perform an award winning event or service project this Community Banking Month? Why not give it a try!

Last year PACB awarded 24 community banks for their commitment to giving back. These awards are presented in three categories – the President’s Award, the Community Leadership Award, and the Grow Your Community Award. Community banking month is a great time to let your community banking light shine! This year, we hope that you will join the effort to promote community banking. We encourage you to host that award-winning event and to perform that award-winning service project – and then share it with us by entering the 2015 GROW Your Community Award Program.

Award Program Information

Communities throughout Pennsylvania are getting stronger! They are growing and thriving because community banks, like yours, care. In a time when our friends and neighbors are struggling, our member banks have stepped up to support local charities and community events.

Whether it be a monetary donation, volunteer time, sponsorships, or special seminars that educate and promote economic growth, it is your service and commitment that makes your community a better place to live and work. Your involvement has kept your customers faithful, and your sincerity has kept others hopeful.

At PACB, we hold banks that go above and beyond to ‘grow their community’ in the highest standing, and we recognize those whose involvement in our towns exceed normal business practices.

The Grow Your Community Awards program has been established to honor those who strive to impact their community in meaningful ways.

Submit Your Award Program Entry

Please take a moment to tell us about the great things that you do to help “Grow Your Community.” Possible entries can include, but are certainly not limited to: community redevelopment, housing-related activities, community entertainment, financial support or sponsorship, and projects benefitting special interest groups such as seniors, children, physically/mentally challenged, etc.

To enter, please complete the attached entry form, including a description of the activity in which your bank participated. Also include photos and/or press coverage of your activity so that we can see the impact of your event.

Please return all materials to PACB no later than Friday, May 29, 2015.

Entries will be judged on the IMPACT their service/donation has had on their community.

Winning banks will be recognized in front of their peers at PACB’s Annual Convention in Colorado Springs this September. They will also receive an award that they can proudly display at their community bank. In addition, each winning community bank will be officially recognized in an upcoming issue of Transactions.
