Community Banking Month

Community Banking Month

The tree buds and heavy doses of pollen are the first sign of, you guessed it, Community Banking Month in Pennsylvania!  This April, we’re celebrating the tremendous work your organization contributes to the goal of providing unmatched professionalism and value to your hometown.  We want you to be part of this statewide salute to your good work.

This year, we’re focusing the public’s attention on the ways locally owned and managed banks are making positive change happen across the Commonwealth.  In 2011, we want the world to know the many ways our community banks are “Making a Difference on Main Street!”

Here are just a few ways we’d like you to take the message and mission of this month to your hometown:

  1. Considering hosting a “Making a Difference on Main StreetOpen House at your bank.  Invite everyone in your neighborhood, from state lawmaker to small business owner to hear and see first-hand the reasons that make your bank different from the mega banks.
  2. Brand your lobby with Community Bank Month posters, tent cards and coloring books.  Give your lobby some extra personality while you extol the virtues of our kind of service and value.  Order materials here:  PACB Order Form
  3. Think about creating a raffle, holding a student essay or coloring contest to get your neighbors in the mood to celebrate.  Encourage them to tell you why they love their hometown bank!

Get creative.  Don’t let this list limit your ideas.  This month, the sky is the limit!  Please know however, that we’re standing by to help.  If you need customized press releases, sample speeches or editorial content, we’re standing by to help.

Thanks for all you do to raise the standard and build awareness for Pennsylvania’s trusted, reliable community banks.  Because of you, we’re making a difference for millions of Pennsylvanians on Main Street.

Yours truly,

Nick DiFrancesco
